You can create the following holdings in Estateably:
- Stocks 
- Bonds 
- ETFs/Mutual Funds 
- GICs 
- Accrued interest 
- Debentures 
- Deriviatives 
- Equities 
- Fixed-income 
- Other (you can manually enter the holding type)

Original holdings must be linked to the following asset types:
- Deceased Bank Account (Estates) 
- Deceased Investment Account (Estates) 
- Grantor Bank Account (POAs) 
- Grantor Investment Account (POAs) 
Once one of these assets are created, take the following steps to add original holdings:
- In the Inventory or Accounting section of Estateably, locate the bank account that holds the asset. Click on the three-dot menu, and select "View holdings". 
- Click "Add holding" in the top-right corner. 
- Enter information on the holding to the fields. 
- Once you have entered all the details, click "Save" to return to the holdings screen, or "Save and add new" to enter another holding. 
Adding holdings transferred to a trust in-kind (Trusts)
Adding holdings transferred to a trust in-kind (Trusts)
Holdings must be linked to either of the following asset types:
- Trust Bank Account (Trusts) 
- Trust Investment Account (Trusts) 
Once one of these assets are created, take the following steps to add holdings that were transferred into a trust in-kind:
- In the Trust Accounting section of Estateably, locate the bank account in the Assets tab that holds the asset. Click on the three-dot menu, and select "View holdings". 
- Click "Add holding" in the top-right corner. 
- Check the "Funding asset" box. 
- Enter information on the holding to the fields. 
- Once you have entered all the details, click "Save" to return to the holdings screen, or "Save and add new" to enter another holding. 
Adding trustee/executor/guardian-purchased holdings (All case types)

This action can be taken on the following file types:
- Probate and Accounting 
- Estate Accounting 
- Trust Administration 
- POA Administration 
Holdings must be linked to either of the following asset types:
- Managed Deceased Bank Account (Estates) 
- Managed Deceased Investment Account (Estates) 
- Estate Bank Account (Estates) 
- Additional Estate Account (Estates) 
- Trust Bank Account (Trusts) 
- Trust Investment Account (Trusts) 
- Managed Grantor Bank Account (POAs) 
- Managed Grantor Investment Account (POAs) 
- Additional POA account (POAs) 
Once one of these assets are created, take the following steps to add holdings that were purchased by an executor, guardian/POA, or trustee during the administration:
- In the Accounting section of Estateably, locate the bank account in the Assets tab at the top of the page that holds the asset. Click on the three-dot menu, and select "View holdings". 
- Click "Add holding" in the top-right corner. 
- Enter a transaction date. Then, enter information on the holding to the fields. 
- Once you have entered all the details, click "Save" to return to the holdings screen, or "Save and add new" to enter another holding. 
This will create a holding in the associated account, as well as a purchase in the transactions section for the holding's value.
