Setting up the Clio integration

Users now have the ability to populate Estateably's Intake and Contact fields directly from Clio via our new integration!

It's possible to map contact profiles as well as custom intake fields created in Clio to Estateably.

NOTE: Before you get started, Estateably’s support team must enable the integration for you. Please reach out to support@estateably.com for assistance.

Step 1: Activate the Clio Integration

  1. A user with Org Admin permissions can click the gear icon to navigate to the Administration section.

  2. In the left side menu, select Organization Integrations. A list of available integrations will appear.

  3. Select Clio from the integration list to expand the row, and hit the Activate button.

  4. Estateably will redirect you to sign into Clio for authentication.

  5. Click the Allow Access button to activate the integration. Once you do, the system will return you to Estateably’s Organization Integrations section with the Clio integration activated.

The following section will allow you to set up detailed mapping of Clio fields to Estateably. This will ensure the necessary data is pulled into the right Estateably fields.

  4. There will be two sections in the list: Matter Information and Contacts.

Within the ‘Matter Information’ section, the following default field mappings will be suggested for these Estateably fields:

    • Case Name: Populated by Clio’s Client Name field.
    • Number of the case file: Populated by Clio’s Display Number field.
    • State/Province for this case (Jurisdiction): Populated by Clio’s Location field.
      • This mapping cannot be modified.
    • Name of client (Deceased, Settlor, Grantor): Populated by Clio’s Client Name field.

  5. All contacts added to Clio's Contact section (with a specified Relationship) will appear as potential contact that can be imported to Estateably when creating a case from a Clio matter.

  6. Click ‘Save’ to apply the mappings for any new files created in Estateably.
