Choose your setup
Before configuring vault numbers, decide which setup fits your organization:
Organization — recommended for a single firm with one office. Produces a single shared set of vault numbers.
Teams — recommended for larger firms with multiple office locations. Each office gets its own vault number sequence while the organization maintains one centralized vault system.
Option A: Set up organization-level vault numbers
Log in as an organization administrator and click the gear icon to open Settings.
Select Organization Details.
In the Vault Setup dropdown, select Organization.
Enter a Vault Number Starting Number and click Save. Starting numbers cannot include special characters such as
/,-, or..Note: Enter the next available number if your firm already assigns vault numbers, or the number you want sequences to start from.
Confirm the starting number — it cannot be changed later. Click Proceed to confirm or Cancel to edit.
The Autogenerate Next Vault Number button is now active on your vault files.
Note: The button remains disabled on vault files until setup is complete.
Option B: Set up team-level vault numbers
Create a team for each office location if not already done.
Log in as an organization administrator. Go to Settings › Members and Teams › Teams.
Click the pencil icon next to the first team to configure its vault numbers.
Enter a 3-character Team Prefix (e.g., TOR).
Enter a Vault Number Starting Number and click Save. Special characters are not allowed.
Note: Enter the next available number or the number you want sequences to start from.
Confirm the starting number — it cannot be changed later. Click Proceed to confirm or Cancel to edit.
Repeat steps 3–6 for each team.
The Autogenerate Next Vault Number button is now enabled on vault files for each team.
Note: The button remains disabled until setup is complete for each team.
Conclusion
Vault numbers are now configured. Each new vault file will have an auto-incremented number assigned. Contact [email protected] if you need help.
