Introduction
Welcome to the user guide for the Decision Vault integration within Estateably. Decision Vault is designed to provide estate planning and probate attorneys with a central system for collecting, storing, and integrating client intake information.
This integration enables information transfer from Decision Vault into your cases on Estateably only available for US users.
This guide will help you understand how to enable and use the DecisionVault integration in Estateably, from setup by the organization admin to importing probate cases and contacts.
Activating DecisionVault Integration
Note: Only an Organization Administrator can enable the DecisionVault integration.
Steps for Organization Administrator:
Navigate to Settings:
Go to the main menu of the Estateably app.
Select Settings.
Go to Integrations:
In the Settings menu, click on Integrations.
Select and Activate DecisionVault:
Find and select DecisionVault from the list of available integrations.
Click on Activate.
Authenticate and Grant Access:
You will be prompted to authenticate with your DecisionVault credentials.
Follow the authentication steps, then grant access when prompted.
Once activated, a message will display at the bottom right of the screen indicating the integration is now enabled.
All users within the organization can start using the DecisionVault integration to import probate cases and contacts.
Deactivating DecisionVault Integration
Steps for Organization Administrator:
Navigate to Settings:
Go to the main menu of the Estateably app.
Select Settings.
Go to Integrations:
In the Settings menu, click on Integrations.
Select and Deactivate DecisionVault:
Find and select DecisionVault from the list of available integrations.
Click on Deactivate.
Once deactivated, the integration will no longer be in function, meaning whenever a case will be created, decision vault option will not be displayed.
Decision Vault Cases & Contacts Integration
Steps for users
Create a New File:
From the main Estateably page, select Add New Estate.
Choose the type of estate file.
A prompt will appear with the option to Import probate matters from DecisionVault. Click this option and click Start.
2. Select Cases to Import:
A list of probate cases from DecisionVault will be displayed.
Select the case you wish to import and click Select. Note you can only import one case at a time.
3. Assign Contacts:
For each contact in the selected case, choose one of the following roles:
Beneficiary
Executor
Other
Don’t Import
After making your selections, click Continue.
Complete the File Creation Wizard:
Follow the usual steps to complete the file setup. Please note you will need to select the Jurisdiction in the wizard as United States.
Verify Imported Information:
Once the file is open, you can review and confirm that the information imported from DecisionVault matches your expectations in Estateably.
Example of fields expected to populate from DecisionVault into Estateably:
o Deceased: First Name, Last Name, Address, Birth Date, Death Date, Marital Status
o Contacts: First Name, Last Name, Address, Phone, Email Address, SIN.
