By adding an Executor profile, we can generate all forms and letters with the entered information, if required. Additionally, their name will appear as acting administrator on all Accounting Reports.
To Add an Executor Profile:
Go to the "Contacts" page of the platform.
Ensure you have selected the "Executors" button on the top row of tabs.
Select the "Add New" button in the top right corner of the page.
Select the Executor Type: Confirm whether it is an individual or corporate applicant.
Enter the following information:
Trust Company Name
Alternate Name they were referred to as in the will (optional; you can leave this field blank if their current legal name is used in the will)
Phone number
Email address
Date of Birth (if required)
Trust Officer's Name
Mailing Address
Acting Status*
Jurat (if different from the default entered in Intake)
Click "Save" once all the information has been entered. The record should now appear within the list of executors.
* When selecting the Acting Status of an Executor, if you select "No" to the prompt "Is this person acting as executor?", then, you can select the reason why to ensure they are accounted for in all applicable application documents.
Editing an Executor Profile:
Once a record has been added, the user can navigate to the three-dot menu on the far right hand side of the profile, to edit or remove an existing executor.
Note: The user also has the ability to make an executor into a beneficiary. This will copy the executor's record to the Beneficiary’s section.
