Files are charged after the case creation process is completed, and the user has accepted that opening the file will incur a fee.

When can a file be deleted without incurring a fee?

  • If the case creation process has not been completed (i.e. the "Progress" column on the file dashboard is "Incomplete").

  • When opening a case for the first time, the user will receive a warning that the file will be charged upon clicking "Proceed". If the notification is closed, the file will not open and the fee will not be charged.

Verifying whether a file has been invoiced through Billing Management

  1. Click on the Admin Console (gear icon in the top-right of the screen).

  2. Select "Billing Management" in the left-hand side menu.

  3. Scroll down to the "Payment History" section.

  4. You can then review the list of invoices to verify whether your file has been charged. Use the search bar in the top-right of the section to query a specific file name.
