Frequently asked questions on how to get started with integrations in Estateably

Updated over a month ago

What integrations are available in Estateably?

Estateably offers integrations that help connect the platform with other tools your organization may use.

Examples of integrations include:

  • Clio – for importing intake and contact information

  • DecisionVault – for importing case and contact information

  • Calendar integrations – for syncing tasks with personal calendars such as Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook

Available integrations may vary depending on your subscription plan, organization configuration, and jurisdiction.

Where can I manage integrations in Estateably?

To view and manage integrations:

  1. Select Tools from the top navigation menu.

  2. Click Integrations.

If integrations are included in your subscription but are not yet enabled, select Enable Integrations.

Who can enable integrations?

Integrations are typically enabled and configured by users with administrative permissions, such as an Organization Administrator.

Once an integration is enabled at the organization level, individual users may be able to use the integration depending on the feature.

What actions can administrators perform on integrations?

From the Integrations page, administrators can:

  • View integration details

  • Configure or reconfigure integrations

  • Pause integrations

  • Create user configurations

  • Deactivate integrations

These options are available through the three-dot menu beside each integration.

Clio Integration

The Clio integration allows users to import information from Clio into Estateably.

This integration can populate fields within:

  • Intake sections

  • Contact records

Importing information directly from Clio helps reduce manual data entry when creating or managing files.

Who can activate the Clio integration?

To activate the integration:

  1. Click the Settings (gear) icon.

  2. Navigate to Organization Integrations.

  3. Select Clio from the list.

  4. Click Activate.

You will be redirected to Clio to authenticate your account and grant access.

What is field mapping for the Clio integration?

Field mapping links Clio data fields to Estateably fields so information is placed in the correct location during import.

For example:

  • Clio contact name → Estateably contact name

  • Clio address → Estateably address field

Administrators can configure these mappings within the integration settings.

How do I import data from Clio?

Once the integration is activated:

  • Use Import from Clio during the case creation wizard, or

  • Use the Import from Clio option within the Contacts or Intake sections.

The system will pull the mapped data directly from Clio into Estateably.

What is the DecisionVault integration with Estateably?

The DecisionVault integration allows Estateably users to import information such as cases and contacts directly from DecisionVault into their Estateably files.

This integration helps minimize manual data entry and ensures important information is transferred efficiently.

Who can enable the DecisionVault integration?

Only an Organization Administrator can enable the DecisionVault integration.

This ensures that integration settings are centrally managed and secure.

How do I enable the DecisionVault integration?

To enable the integration:

  1. Navigate to Settings within Estateably.

  2. Locate the Integrations section in the left-hand menu.

  3. Select DecisionVault from the available options.

  4. Follow the setup prompts.

Who can use the DecisionVault integration once it is enabled?

Once the integration is activated by an Organization Administrator, all users within the organization can use it to import cases and contacts from DecisionVault.

No additional configuration is required for individual users.

Which Estateably users have access to the DecisionVault integration?

The DecisionVault integration is available to Core users located in the United States.

Users on other tiers may need to upgrade their plan to access this feature.

What information can be imported from DecisionVault?

With the DecisionVault integration, you can import:

  • Cases – including basic case details

  • Contacts – including executors, beneficiaries, and other related parties

This helps quickly set up files in Estateably.

How does the data transfer work?

The integration transfers data directly from DecisionVault to Estateably.

Field mappings are predefined in the backend, ensuring the data populates the correct fields automatically

Are there limits on the amount of data that can be imported?

Currently, there are no specific limits on the number of cases or contacts that can be imported from DecisionVault.

Do users need additional training after enabling the integration?

No additional training is required.

Once the integration is enabled, users can immediately begin importing cases and contacts from DecisionVault.

Can the DecisionVault integration be disabled?

Yes.

An Organization Administrator can disable the integration at any time by returning to the Integrations settings and turning off the DecisionVault option.

What is the calendar integration?

The calendar integration allows tasks with due dates in Estateably to be synced to a user’s Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook calendar.

This helps users manage deadlines by making tasks visible in their personal calendar or to-do list.

How do I sync a task to my calendar?

To sync a task:

  1. Navigate to the Tasks section.

  2. Ensure the task has an assigned user and a due date.

  3. Open View Details for the task.

  4. Select Sync to Calendar.

The task will be added to your calendar on the due date.

What information appears in a synced calendar task?

When a task is synced, the calendar entry may include:

  • Task name

  • Task description

  • Task phase and status

  • A link back to the Estateably case file

Can I remove a task from my calendar?

Yes.

To remove a synced task:

  1. Open View Details for the task in Estateably.

  2. Select Remove from Calendar.

  3. Confirm the removal.

The task will be removed from your calendar.

  • Review integration settings or reconnect the integration if needed

If the issue persists, contact Estateably Support for assistance.
