Import a probate case and contacts from DecisionVault
From the main Estateably page, click Add New Estate.
Choose the type of estate file.
When prompted, select Import probate matters from DecisionVault and click Start.
A list of probate cases from DecisionVault appears. Select the case you want to import and click Select. Note: you can only import one case at a time.
For each contact in the selected case, assign a role from the dropdown: Beneficiary, Executor, Other, or Don't Import.
Click Continue.
Complete the file creation wizard. In the Jurisdiction step, select United States.
Click Create File.
Open the file and verify that the imported information appears correctly in the Intake and Contacts sections.
Fields that typically populate from DecisionVault include:
Deceased: First Name, Last Name, Address, Birth Date, Death Date, Marital Status
Contacts: First Name, Last Name, Address, Phone, Email Address, SIN
Conclusion
The imported data populates the Intake and Contacts sections based on pre-defined field mapping. This is a one-time, one-way import — changes made in DecisionVault after the file is created do not update in Estateably. Contact [email protected] if you need help with the integration.
