Transactions can be imported from a monthly bank statement in PDF format using DocuVision, Estateably's AI document parser.

Before importing, confirm your file does not already contain the transactions you are importing — duplicates are not filtered automatically.

Steps

  1. Go to Estate Accounting › Transactions.

  2. Click the three-dot menu next to the Reports button and select Import.

  3. Drag your bank statement into Estateably, or click Select File to locate it on your computer.

  4. The import takes between 30 seconds and a few minutes depending on file size. Close the pop-up and continue working while it processes.

  5. Once complete, a red dot appears on the bell icon in the top-right corner. Click the bell to open Notifications and select the notification indicating the import is finished.

  6. Choose the account the transactions will go through and select a default Money Type — Capital/Revenue (Canada) or Principal/Income (US). Click Next.

  7. Review the transactions and make any needed changes. Click Save Transactions to finalize the import.

Conclusion

Transactions are now imported and ready to review. Contact [email protected] if you run into issues during the import process.
